STEAM camps · Grades 2–6 · Tampa, FL
Where student innovators build something real.
Robotics, engineering, invention — camps designed and led by a career educator with a doctorate in curriculum. No worksheets, no screens-for-the-sake-of-screens. Every camp ends with something they built, tested, and can't stop talking about.

How a camp works
Spark challenge
Every camp opens with a challenge worth solving. Curiosity first, instructions second.
Build in teams of 4
Student innovators design and build together — real materials, real tools, real teamwork.
Test and iterate
First versions rarely work. That's the point. They test, adjust, and try again.
Present and/or compete
The last 30 minutes belong to the showcase: presentations, head-to-head runs, proud parents.

Code & Create
Student innovators program a robot to navigate an environment they design, then compete head-to-head. Our kit set comes with more than 90 lesson plans, so a student can attend Code & Create every month and never repeat an activity.
One camp, at least three STEAM disciplines: computational thinking and sensors (technology), algorithms and logic (math), robot mechanics (engineering), and designing the environment the robot navigates (art).

Take-home kits
Keep the spark going at home. Add a kit at checkout and the building doesn't stop when camp does.
Designed by a Doctor of Education
This is curriculum, not childcare
Every STEM SPARK camp is built by career educators on the same standards a school curriculum answers to: clear learning objectives, deliberate scaffolding, and assessment you can see — because it drives across the floor or holds a stack of books.
The research is consistent: children learn STEM by doing STEM. Project-based learning, productive struggle, and presenting your own work beat worksheets every time. That's the whole architecture of our three hours.

Safety & security
Run like a school, because we come from schools
Level 2 background screening for every adult. A 16:2 student-to-staff ratio. Sign-in and sign-out at the door, authorized pickup names on file, allergy-aware snacks. Full general liability coverage. It's the standard we held ourselves to for decades in school leadership — we didn't lower it to run camps.
Bring STEM SPARK to your school, troop, or center.
We handle staff, insurance, materials, registration, and cleanup. You bring the families.
Good questions
Parents ask us
What if my kid has never coded?
Perfect. Every camp starts from zero and scales up. Teams mix experience levels on purpose, and the lead teacher meets every student innovator where they are.
Do they take the robot home?
No — the robotics kits are professional-grade and reusable, which is how we keep the price at $59. Take-home kits are available as an add-on if they want to keep building.
Is staff background checked?
Yes. Every adult on our team is Level 2 background screened, and we're fully insured. If they can't work at a school, they can't work with us.
